We got our cat from a shelter a couple of months back and could not BELIEVE the stench she emitted from her litter tray...seriously, like the smell of human diarrhoea after a dodgy kebab. It was smelly, watery & explosive so I started to educate myself on food sensitivities and came across JWB in numerous articles. I took the plunge and could not believe the difference within days. No more stinky litter tray and she absolutely WOLFS it down. (The dry biscuit) The fish flavour absolutely pongs of fresh fish, but this makes it all the more appealing to kitty kat. Please be aware that this food must be carefully portion controlled though - we tried free-feeding her and she's gone from underweight to overweight in 6 weeks...lesson learned.

IV bought JWB for years having found it to be the only brand my two cats love! However since the change of packaging one of my cats who never has issues has been suffering with diarrhea and vomiting. IV made no other changes to there diet and there indoor cats so I know what their eating. They usually eat every last one but have starting leaving some behind. They state that the recipe hasn't changed however after much research I found that they have changed the dog food formula on changing the packaging so likely the same with the cat food. Looks like I'll have to find something else..

Great product, but next day delivery is nothing of the sort. Back office systems sluggish too. Go with one of the many resellers rather than pay over the odds for poor service from Wellbeloved themselves

I have used jwb for years and always found it a great food. Im not happy with the new bags and food because it has such a bad smell to it. Smells like it's been sat in horse poo and stinks my house out. Don't want to change but can't continue with the smell.

My delivery has just turned up I appreciate it is Christmas and postal strikes etc but it has arrived. Have fed J W for years ,no better food , will continue to feed it. Please have a happy Christmas to all involved in getting my biscuit to happy cats,

My dog has inflammatory bowel disease,which he needs to take steroids to keep this under control. I tried lots of different foods and discovered years ago that James wellbeloved was one of the only foods to agree with him. However,since James wellbeloved changed the packaging recently, there seems to be some kind of change to the ingredients as well because his bowels haven't been good for a few weeks now. I had hoped that he would settle down once he got used to whatever changes have been made, but it's not going well.
What has James wellbeloved changed along with the new packaging..... can anyone shed some light on the issue?
UPDATE: I wanted to update this review. James Wellbeloved made contact with me almost immediately. They said a pet Nutritionist would call me, which she did in a matter of 1-2 days.
It actually turned out to be something else that was upsetting my dog's tummy rather than anything to do with the James Wellbeloved food. I was very impressed by the response and the advice given by the pet nutritionist.

My fussy eater toy poodle loves James Wellbeloved wet food. It’s been a real struggle to find food that she enjoys and doesn’t upset her stomach. She’s been on James Wellbeloved lamb in gravy with rice and veg for a few months now and so far so good - cleans the bowl each time and no tummy troubles.

Bought their products for years and paid c.£50 for the large ‘sack’ which we always struggled to get the contents of into our large dog food ‘bin’ .
Just paid £60 for the ‘new’ plastic 10g sack…..oh surprise surprise the bin is no where near as full as it was??
Don’t treat us like fools James Welbeloved. Fancy packages and a price increase for less product….! We will be looking elsewhere for our dog food. : (

I cannot get through to the customer service team regarding the referral scheme. I have referred two people who have purchased products and should have received a 40% discount but my account doesn’t reflect this. I have called at least 20 times, emailed three times and requested call backs twice. They have previously been brilliant but I am infuriated at this appalling customer service. I’ve purchased their products for 17 years for all three of my dogs past and present. EDIT I have now spoken with them and they explained the referral scheme. I’m happy with the response I got but it took a while and I have not experienced this before. They have always been great.

I cannot believe that they use DHL as a courier service!
Everytime I place an order i receive a notification that it will be delivered on a certain date. I make sure I am home and its the same story i receive an email telling me that they tried to deliver the parcel and there was no one home! I have complained to James wellbeloved so many times but to no avail.
I will buy my dog food from Amazon At least I know I won't be let down.

I am having trouble with JWB grain free Turkey biscuits. Sometimes i can buy a bag and it stays dry but often, after a short time of opening, moisture appears on many of the small biscuits and my cat goes off them. We all know that moisture like this can cause mould, which is dangerous and my cat's not been well. Very disappointed as I've been buying these for 3 years with little trouble until recently. The RSPCA recommended I keep my cat on them when I got him from them so not sure what else to try!

Ordered 40 pouches for my puppy which she has had lots of times before... yet this time the gravy is thick and it now upsets her stomach.... I cannot get a answer on the phone.

I have 30 odd pouches I cannot use

zero customer services... unreal that you read their responses to customer complaints on here and they just provide lip service, don't address the issues and in my case, i can't even get them on the phone..

I've been ordering grain free cat food for my cats direct from James Wellbeloved for a couple of years now. Best price direct, delivery always arrives very quickly and the cats both enjoy the food.

My Maine Coon needs far less dematting since making the switch, he's always had premium food but this has given the best result. He also has a sensitive tummy and he gets on very well with their recipe.

My British Blue has shed her excess weight and maintains a healthier size.

Just thought I'd throw in a positive review to balance out all of the negative experiences everyone else seems to have!

I called for help after placing a couple of orders and received the worst service ever. Talking over me and not interested in my pets welfare or working with me for a happy medium. I won’t be ordering from them again! Not a chance! Just lost another customer …
